The course is relatively flat and potentially fast. There are a few short elevations both up and down hill. This course is good for the beginner as well as the experienced runner.
Start at Nitro Community Center on 21st St Go down 2nd Ave.toward St. Albans till it intersects 1st Ave.
Cross road to light and go right across tracks and take 1st left onto Main Ave.
Go to Valentine Circle and turn right onto it, then go left around curve to Holly and go left on it. Turn left back onto Main Ave.to the end, then go left onto Boundary.
Go 1 block, then right onto Broadway to Park Ave.and take a left onto Park.
Go to end of Park Ave, go right, then right onto Republican Way (also known as Plant Rd.) to light. Go left at light onto 1st Ave.and go to 38th St Go right onto 38th to 2nd Ave. and take a right onto it. Go to 20th St., turn left onto it, then immediate right Onto 2nd Ave.and back to Nitro Community Center. The course is well marked and easy to follow. There will be traffic control in the appropriate areas, thanks to the Nitro Police and Fire Departments, and our Volunteers.
